11 MARCH 2020 – President Conte has signed the new Dpcm with further measures on containment and management of the epidemiological emergency from COVID-19 throughout the country.

We take this opportunity to remind everyone of HOW it is important to make gestures, which, while simple, can really help us defend ourselves and contain contagion.

LET'S ISOLATE THE VIRUS!

1 WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN

Washing and disinfecting the hands are crucial to prevent infection. Hand
s should be washed with soap and water for at least 20 se
conds. If no soap and water is available, you can also use a 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer. Washing your
hands eliminates the virus.2 D
ON'T TOUCH OCCHI, NASO AND BOCCA WITH MANI 

The virus is mainly transmitted respiratoryly, but can also enter the body through the eyes, nose and mouth, so avoid touching them with unwashed hands. Your han
ds can come into contact with surfaces contaminated with the virus and transmit it to your body. 

3 AVOID HUGS AND HANDSHAKES

people, especially when they cough or sneeze or have a fever, because the virus is contained in saliva droplets and can be transmitted at close range.

6 AVOID CROWDED PLACES

The World Health Organization recommends wearing a mask only if you suspect you have contracted the new coronavirus, and have symptoms such as coughing or sneezing, or if you care for a person with suspected infection with new coronavirus (travel recent symptoms in China). 

7 If you have flu-like symptoms stay at home, do not go to the emergency room or medical offices, but contact your general practitioner, paediatricians, medical ward or regional numbers 

In fact, the Regions have activated dedicated numbers to respond to requests for information and urgent measures for the containment and management of the contagion of the new coronavirus in Italy.
